● Time to renew  your Membership, if you haven't already.  (New members are always welcome!) Our new year is January to December, so please make sure to get your dues in as soon as possible

VAAL Web Gallery
VAAL members will now have an opportunity to show their work online on our website with your own web page.  Up to 10 digital images of your artwork can be used and you may also submit a link to your own website.  The fee is $10 annually. Forms are available in the classroom and website (on Members Gallery page).

Aided by a grant from the Dearborn Community Fund, Janet Kondziela will be painting on location at more than 25 businesses in Dearborn.  The project will conclude in September with an exhibition at the Padzieski Art Gallery in the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center.

Ann Arbor Art Fair 2010 -

Common Threads that Unite the World's Religious Traditions -
Madonna University
  All media art exhibit for Fall 2010.  Inspired by the recent PBS documentary "Beyond our Differences".  The focus of the exhibition is to express common themes that unify the religious and spiritual philosophies of the world.

Guardian Arts Program
Local artists will have the opportunity to showcase their work in the historic Guardian Arts building

Courage Cards - Will be designed for business to business communication.  Artwork must have a corporate professional feel.  Themes include: Birthday, Thank You, Get Well, Sympathy, Anniversary and Achievement.  A license fee of $300 will be paid for every piece of selected artwork. Proceeds from sale of Courage Cards help people with disabilities advance their lives and foster independence through Courage Center, a non-profit rehabilitation and resource center for people of all ages and abilities.

HVCA (Huron Valley Council of the Arts) 2011 Gallery Exhibitions Opportunity for Michigan artists, individual or groups, to exhibit their work in the Highland Station House Gallery for a period of one month during the 2011 gallery season.  The HVCA will promote the featured artist by providing all promotional advertisements, posters and opening night reception.  All exhibited artwork must be for sale.

Humanscale Faces in the Wild call for entries.  Humanscale is now accepting wildlife (non-domesticated) artwork submissions for its 10th annual art auction and benefit on Oct. 7, 2010.  Proceeds will benefit World Wildlife Fund, leader in international efforts to protect endangered species and their habitats.
